Hello
First, for those of you who do celebrate Thanksgiving, may I say, Happy Turkey Day!! It is fast approaching! What is your favorite part of the meal? For me, well, it's all about the stuffing and the pecan pie. Plus I love being around my whole extended family.
What about you?
This next piano lesson is all about the blues again. Just can't get enough of that blues. And the best part is, you can use the blues in all of your piano playing. You can incorporate blues techniques into pop, rock, jazz, gospel and even Christmas music! So here it is.
In this video, you will learn a right hand blues pattern using chords and something called the Mixolydian Scale. In case you don't understand what I am saying with the theory in the video, just remember one thing. To play this scale, you need only flat the seventh note of the major scale and you will get the note you need to
change for the Mixolydian scale. That's it!
Enjoy.
Watch Lesson
Thanks for watching. Try it out on one of your favorite tunes and we'll talk next week. Be happy. Stay positive.
Remember, love your piano and it will love you back
Cheers!
