Hello,

Here is a super simple straightforward voicing for the left hand called Shell Voicing where you play the root and seventh in the left hand with the melody in the right hand.
So instead of playing the full chord in the left hand which can get a little heavy, you play an open voicing of a seventh then add a harmony note underneath the melody (preferably the third of the chord)

In the video I demonstrate the shell voicing then apply it to “Lazy River” by Hoagy Carmichael.
