Hello,
This issue of eNotes is all about the the dominant seventh chord and how to change it. You will learn two alterations, one is the #9 and the other is the b13.
You see, the dominant seventh chord is the most, shall we say, malleable chord. So many possibilities!!
These options are on the edgy side which is pretty cool I think. I mean, I wouldn’t use them to play Edelweiss but there are many songs that these sounds would go very well with.
Have a listen!

Hope you enjoyed the video. As usual, give it a try on one of your faves.
Next week, we’ll go for some scary tunes with Halloween just around the corner.
If you live in New Hampshire or Massachusetts, I will be playing a “Ghouling Pianos” gig on Saturday, October 30 from 9-11pm at Chunkys in Nashua, NH. Come by and request a song. And if you have any recommendations on songs I should play for Halloween let me know!!
Warmly,
Debbie
