Hello
Today's lesson is on Minor 7th Chords. These are GORGEOUS chords and not hard to construct. So here's the recipe - 1)Play a minor chord, for example, C minor is C-Eb-G. Then 2) Add a seventh on top which is one whole step below the root of the chord. The seventh in a Cminor chord would be Bb. The rest I will explain in the video so tune on in!
(The Intro is 30 seconds and the lesson is 3 minutes)

Chord Drilling CD almost ready!!
The CD is all recorded now. It is just being mixed and mastered. It is approximately 70 minutes long and it drills you on major, minor, minor 7th and dominant seventh chords.... plus inversions. You can sit at the piano and work with it or pop it in your car on the way to work OR listen on your ipod while taking that brisk walk. I'll let you know when it's "hot off the press".
One last thing. If you are from the Boston, MA area, be sure to go to Wicked. It is coming to town and it is an incredibly powerful musical with exciting, gorgeous music. And don't forget to go on the back issues of eNotes (under my name here)to hear the interview I had with Stephen Schwartz, the composer, on January 14th 2010!!
Be well,
